Wall Paper

Most of the walls in the house are made of plaster. Because of that, the previous owners of the house put wall paper on the walls and painted over it. Which is probably what we are going to do, but we are going to do it right. So, we have been taking down the THREE layers of wall paper to start from the beginning and do it right. It's amazing the wall paper people would put up in their house. Most of it is hideous. I got some pictures of some of it, but unfortunately there were some beauties I didn't have my camera for. A couple of the pictures are of the master bedroom and the guest bedroom without the wall paper on the walls. Hopefully the next time I'm up, I can pick out the paint for those rooms and we can put the paint able wall paper on the walls and paint those rooms. It's fun seeing the transition in the house.

Progress on the Downstairs Bathroom

I went to NH on Thursday to work on the house and spend time with Daniel (Because of his softball games and Mother's day we wont be spending the weekend together). I got some painting done on Thursday and then today we got a lot done on the Bathroom. We framed in the shower for the bathroom. That was a big accomplishment. I can almost envision what it's going to look like. I'm so excited. I forgot to take pictures of the work in progress, so I asked Daniel to pretend to be working or hammering something in. He wasn't cooperating very well. :-)

Fun times with the Jones'

Jake and Lauren invited me to go over there house on Monday night. I had a wonderful time with them (it would have even been better if Daniel could have been there). I had fun holding the baby and taking pictures of her. Gracie and I read books and played together. We had ice cream for dessert and Gracie put lots and lots of sprinkles on her ice cream just like her Uncle Josh. We took pictures of it just for him. I had wonderful time with Jake and Lauren too. I can't wait to go back. :-)

Saturn

3 weeks ago, my car was acting up. I brought it into the shop and got really bad news. Basically I was told to GET A NEW CAR, it was not safe for me to drive it NH and back. So the search started. For three full weeks, we searched and searched. Finally, Saturday morning we set off at 7:15 to start yet another long day of searching for cars. Around 11:30, we finally found one we liked AND more importantly, it was in our price range. Praise the Lord, the search is over. We bought a 2002 Saturn. It's a really nice car. :-) I'm so happy to have a car again.

Sweet Baby Abigail

On Wednesday, my niece Abigail Faith Jones was born. What a beautiful, sweet, adorable little chunk she is. I love her cheeks, they are very kissable. Praise the Lord for the new addition to our wonderful family.

Having Fun with Gracie :-)

On Wednesday, mom and I were able to spend time with Gracie while Lauren had the baby. We had so much fun with her. She is such a sweet girl. She fell asleep on the way to the hospital to visit her new baby sister.
